ARTIST BIO

After completing a Bachelor Degree in Art and Architecture, I worked for several years as an architect, first in Moscow and then,since 2003, in Melbourne.

 In 2012 I created my own business “Tashi Taten Art” and started to paint murals for private residences and offices. I also liked to depict landscapes on smaller canvases. Now I mostly paint pictures with acrylic or oil paints on canvas. Some of them are so big, I call them "Murals on Canvas".

I’ve always been fascinated by Australian nature and have often painted the forest and landscapes of Mornington Peninsula. There is a beautiful play of light and colours in the bush and meadows of Mornington. Red Hill is a very special place for me – I go there every time I need to relax and find an inspiration for my work.
