ARTIST NOTES: My inner child created this one. This work is the painting version of doodles I used to do as a kid. Remember those cool 5 color pens ? I used to draw a bunch of connected shapes and then color them in with the different colors. This time I used painters tape to block off the shapes and then moved multiple colors of acrylic paint across the canvas to create the effect.

ARTIST BIO

Kelly Burke  was born in the US and relocated to Melbourne, Australia in 2017 were she lives and creates with her husband and dog. She started getting serious about exploring her artistic side in 2020 just as COVID came along and gave her the time and space to do just that. She loves exploring different visual art medium. To date she has experimented with: photography, pottery, acrylic painting, oil painting, acrylic pouring, alcohol inks and resin in a multitude of uses. She is inspired by nature, music, her family, and the process of being creative itself. Coming to her studio and creating with her hands gives her a sense of purpose she has not found anywhere else.
